9-12 Noon – Brandon Hoffman and Sam Collins – American Acupuncture Council (AAC): Discussing Global Insights to Local Practice: Upcoming developments, refining documentation, billing & coding updates, and the latest Acupuncture malpractice trends

• Hour 1: Acupuncture Ethical Practice – Acupuncture Licensure Act – Massachusetts Scope of Practice, CPT coding Acupuncture, E&M, and Physical Medicine Services, 2024 Mandated Fee Schedules and RVU. Rules and ethics of Cash, Prompt Pay, and Insurance rates
• Hour 2: Insurance – Common coverage in MA BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, Mass Health, et al, Medicare and Acupuncture Part B and Part C, Common Diagnoses Requirements, Traditional Medicine Diagnosis and Acupuncture, Chart Notes and Requirements of Documentation, Acupuncture Claim Form Requirements
• Hour 3: Chart Notes and Requirements of Documentation – Acupuncture Claim Form Requirements, Acupuncture Risk Management, Compliance with State, Federal, and HIPAA requirements, Informed Consent, Risk Assessment

4:30-4:45 PM – Check-in for the ASM Annual Membership Meeting

5-6 PM – The ASM Annual Membership Meeting with news and updates from the ASM Board of Directors. ASM members register for a free ticket for just this part of the day – plus you earn 1 CEU. 

5:45-6PM CE certificate pickup
